Bis Anfang der 90er Jahre, also auch noch nach dem Mauerfall, war der Wolga M24 in Berlin auf den Straßen als Funktaxi im Einsatz. Der Wolga bot natürlich auch mehr Platz und Komfort als die herkömmlichen Trabant und Wartburg.
Formneuheit! Der von Schmitz Cargobull auf der IAA vorgestellte neue Sattelauflieger mit Stahlmulde SKI Solid erscheint auch zeitnah im Herpa-Sortiment. Generell sind alle von Herpa gefertigten Miniaturmodelle dieser neuen Bauform mit dem Schmitz Cargobull Logo bedruckt.
Zahlreiche Farbwechsel erlebt erneut das PKW-Sortiment. Neben der über 10 Jahre langen Abwesenheit der beiden Audi V8 Limousinen (nun auf BBS-Felgen) in Weiß (023962-002) und Blaumetallic (033961-002), erscheint nach einem Jahr der Abstinenz auch die Mercedes-Benz G-Klasse als Cabrio in klassischem Rot (420860-002). Auch die beiden Citroën GS (420433-004 in primelgelb und 430722-004 in tamele cuivre metallic) haben bereits den dritten Farbwechsel vollzogen. Vor genau drei Jahren bedruckte Herpa den Ford Capri II mit Vinyldach; beide Farben erhalten nun einen Wechsel (420570-002 in daytonagelb und 430807-002 in miamiblaumetallic).
In weißer Farbgebung mit entsprechenden Aufdrucken „Wir. Dienen. Deutschland.“ wird der Iveco Trakker über den BW-Fuhrparkservice eingesetzt. Herpa realisiert das Modell für das Militärprogramm.
