Schuco 450955200 Piccolo Mini Display II with Ferrari 250 Le Mans #5 and AC Cobra #6 1:90
The vehicle presented at the Paris Motor Show in October 1963 was the Berlinetta version of the 250 P prototype and was based on the same chassis, which had only been slightly modified. However, the FIA refused to approve the car as a GT vehicle, which had a negative impact on sales figures. It was therefore decided to enter the car against other prototypes instead, although this reduced its chances of achieving racing success. At the same time, this extended the period during which the 250 GTO could be used on racing circuits. The AC Cobra is a British sports car that was originally developed for racing. Production of the model began in 1962. Texan Carroll Shelby further developed the AC Ace, which was built by the British automobile manufacturer AC. His idea was to install an American eight-cylinder engine in the Ace chassis. Shelby ultimately equipped the car with a Ford engine, which is why the Cobra was sometimes also referred to as the Ford Cobra in the United States. Shelby's involvement made the vehicle widely known. Original AC Cobra examples can today fetch prices of more than €1,000,000 in some cases. In 2007, a 427 “Super Snake” achieved a then-record price of US$5.5 million.

Herpa 013222 MiniKit Mercedes-Benz SL500 1:87The SL-Class refers to the Mercedes-Benz model series whose vehicles carry the “SL” designation in their name. These vehicles are predominantly roadsters, although some earlier generations were also offered as coupés. The designation “SL-Class” was only introduced in the mid-1990s and was based on the newly established “E-Class” designation at the time. Before that, vehicles in this model series were generally referred to as “SL models.” The abbreviation “SL” originally stood for “super-light” and was later often interpreted as “Sport Leicht.” Mercedes-Benz, and later Daimler AG, used both explanations for a long time. An archival discovery made in 2017 finally confirmed that the original meaning was “super-light.” Since the introduction of the first SL roadster in 1957, more than 650,000 vehicles from this sports car series had been delivered to customers worldwide by the end of 2009.
