Herpa 537001 U.S. Air Force Douglas VC-118A - 1254th Air Transport (Special Missions) Wing, Andrews Air Base “Air Force One” 1:500The main difference between the military C-118 and the civilian DC-6 airliner is the installation of a large cargo door on the left side. This aircraft served as the official Air Force One for Presidents Kennedy and Johnson. The VC-118A was soon overshadowed by the introduction of the first Boeing VC-137. Both presidents preferred traveling in the larger, faster jet, and the VC-118 was subsequently used primarily for short trips to airports too small for the larger Boeings. Today, this aircraft is on display at the Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson, Arizona.

BVB fans were actively involved in the aircraft’s design in advance. They were able to help decide which of the most popular moments and stars in BVB history would be immortalized on the aircraft. After a vote by more than 10,000 Borussia supporters, the winning motifs were chosen. Painting the Airbus proved to be a highly demanding challenge, as the illustrations of the nine most legendary BVB moments had to be designed in such a way that football fans could instantly recognize the players and iconic scenes. Between 1923 and 1929, no fewer than 22 Junkers F13 aircraft operated on a dense route network across Europe – from Madrid to Moscow and from Rome to Copenhagen. Following the “Anschluss” of Austria to Nazi Germany in 1938, ÖLAG was absorbed into Deutsche Luft Hansa.

Herpa 536745 Republic of Singapore Air Force Airbus A330 MRTT “RSAF 50 years” 1:500 The Republic of Singapore Air Force is considered one of the most capable and technologically advanced armed forces in Southeast Asia. The A330 MRTT is known as a multi-role aircraft, used for aerial refueling, transport, and medevac missions. The 112 Squadron, with its six aircraft, has already demonstrated its capabilities in numerous multinational operations. The first delivered A330 tanker, bearing serial number 761, received a special livery to mark the 50th anniversary of the Republic of Singapore, including a stylized skyline on the tail.

Its focus lies on international services to North America, Asia, Australia, and Europe. However, the unique geography of the Philippine archipelago, with its many islands, also requires a dense domestic route network. Beginning in 1988, eleven Fokker 50 aircraft supported these operations, serving smaller islands beyond the major urban centers that were either inaccessible to jets or not economically viable for jet service.

The aircraft were operated on transatlantic and transpacific routes.
